James Christian - Absolem James Christian Comstock Heritage

Inspired by the caterpillar of the same name in Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, the Absolem is also a tribute to Alan Rickman, who played the character in Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland. This is a personal piece, since the silversmith’s family is big fans of the late, great actor. With such inspiration, it’s no wonder this buckle looks like it belongs on the pages of the book. Its curved, sterling silver face is blackened, then adorned with letters of all shapes and sizes. All of them are hand-cut, and made from silver, fourteen-carat and eighteen-carat gold. As a final flourish, Stegman has placed several yellow and blue sapphires over the entire piece. Signed by the artist with “smoke rings” carved into the back of the buckle, this is a one-of-a-kind collectible. Fits all 1.5-inch belt straps.

We try to only use FedEx for our world wide shipping needs. If you prefer another carrier, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you.

All items are hand crafted and most pieces are made to order. This process can take between 2-15 business days to create. It changes at different times of the year.

Our belts are also hand crafted in the United States and while we try to keep a large stock, odd sizes and skins can take up to 8 weeks to make.

Fast, 2-Business-Day, Next-Day, and Saturday delivery options are available, but please keep in mind that is AFTER the order is made. If you need something for a special date and you are worried about time, please CONTACT US at 775-379-5969 so we can help! Gift cards are e-mailed separately free of charge.

Delivery Pricing

Shipping Pricing is as follows:
Standard FedEx 2nd Day shipping within the continental US: Free
Overnight shipping within the continental United States: $60 if under $2,000
Saturday shipping for shipments sent on a Thursday (2nd day) or Friday (Next Day) that you would like to receive Saturday instead of Monday: $20
International: Free if order is over $2,000. If under $2,000 the fee is $60

Delivery Timing

Pending order verification and credit approval, orders should arrive as specified above. Please note that the estimated delivery date is an estimate only and is not guaranteed. Your estimated delivery date will be shown during checkout and included in your order confirmation email. Your items may arrive sooner than the estimated delivery date. JW Cooper reserves the right to send packages via other shipping methods based on the shipping destination as long as orders will still arrive within the arrival times outlined on jwcooper.com.

When you choose the 2nd Day option, packages are delivered Monday through Friday 8AM to 8PM. Orders sent by Next-Day shipping methods are delivered Monday through Friday from 8AM to 8PM for residential address deliveries and 8AM - 5PM for commercial business address deliveries. We recommend choosing Fast, 2-Business-Day or Next-Day delivery if you are shipping your package to a business address. You will be asked to provide a telephone number on the shipping page of checkout, which is important in the event the courier needs to arrange a delivery time with you. You will also be asked to provide an email address, to which we will send confirmation that your order was placed.

We do not recommend choosing Saturday delivery if you are placing your order outside of these hours. Saturday delivery is not guaranteed to remote rural areas in the United States.
